Hello from the staff at Doncaster Health! Our aim is to give you as much information as possible about general health news related to both the region of Doncaster and the UK in general. Ours is a beautiful town and all our citizens should be able to have access to valid and accurate medical information. That’s why we’ve set up this website: we select the most important information and news related to general health so you don’t have to stress about it.
There are a lot of things to be updated about: from new improvements in the hospitals to new drug discoveries and studies; from local health walks to chances of having your say about local healthcare services. We hope to gather all this into one source so to help you make informed decisions on the type of healthcare you want and need.
You might ask…”how do you select the news?”
We monitor the search engines and local area to find the news that you might be most interested in. We try to keep a general range so that the news can be as relevant to all of our visitors as possible. We want to make sure our service reaches the needs of all the people using our website.
Also, “For what should I use this website?”
Feel free to make this website one of your resources of medical news and updates. Things are constantly changing both in our local area (Doncaster) and abroad so it is very useful to keep track of things, as a treatment that you have used in the past may not be so appropriate for you now. This website could give you an idea of how the general healthcare world is changing, and could give you some input as to what to discuss with your GP or specialist. Keep track of healthcare updates for you and your family!
You might also wonder…”what do I do if I have a general health question?”
Healthcare is our passion. Nevertheless, we may not be able to answer your general health questions because we may not be the most appropriate people to reply. We would always refer you back to your qualified general practitioner (GP) –i.e. your doctor. Your GP is your friend: if you have questions about your health do not hesitate to book an appointment to see her/him.
If you feel that your NHS doctor has not conducted her/himself properly, there are ways to report that to the NHS. Also, you might consider going private if you want to be able to book appointments more flexibly and if you want to be able to have more time with your doctor to discuss your healthcare needs. Having said that, we truly believe that most doctors in the Doncaster area should be able to give you all the advice you need and require both for you and your family.
We hope that you will be satisfied with the quality of the local and national news we select for you. Looking forward to bringing you information on the best Doncaster Health services there are!
