Interactive Community Database

<< Back

Each of the variables in the database can be viewed as a graph, map or data table. This feature enables comparative analysis across all of Doncaster's communities.
With this tool any of the health indicators in the database can be plotted against any of the socio-economic variables. This allows the relationships between different variables to be examined.

In either part of the database, you are asked to choose a variable or variables from various categories of health and socio-economic indicators. When you have done this, a graph will be displayed.

You can choose to highlight a particular community, from a list, or, if you hover the mouse pointer over any point on the graph a box will pop up giving the name of the community. Clicking on a data point takes you into a separate page from which you can access a full profile for that community. To view the data as a map or data table, choose the relevant display option from the list. On the graph or data table, you can also choose to display the communities in one of the Doncaster PCTs only (this will not affect the map display).

The Help section gives an explanation of the graphs and maps, and also gives details of each of the variables used.
